LEM started in the early 90’s when the owner, Harv Punt was approached by a local vet who had just sent an employee to the hospital with several broken ribs. He needed a way to keep his employees safe while working cattle. While working with the vet, Harv designed the hydraulic neck extender, which safely secured the animal’s head while being treated. The neck extender became the industry standard for effective control of the animal’s head.

Harv truly cared about working with his customers to provide equipment that allowed them to safely and securely handle their livestock. Throughout the years, he continued to provide custom, quality equipment that met the needs of his customers. He continued to develop and improve new products that better met the needs of his customers: such as hydraulic wheel kits, the E-Z Care Hydraulic chute, and hydraulic lead alleys.
