LEM started in the early 90’s when the owner, Harv Punt was approached by a local vet who had just sent an employee to the hospital with several broken ribs. He needed a way to keep his employees safe while working cattle. While working with the vet, Harv designed the hydraulic neck extender, which safely secured the animals’ head while being treated. The neck extender became the industry standard for effective control of the animal’s head.
